RV Daily Report Covers Our Website Launch

MIDDLEBURY, IND. - The Outpost RV, Inc., announced today it has launched a truck camper specific website for current and prospective slide-in camper owners. The site is designed to provide consumers with information on an under-served segment of the recreation vehicle market.

The new website helps customers match their existing truck with an appropriate sized truck camper by displaying all makes and models that fit their truck. They can then "build" the camper by selecting the options they desire with the manufacturer's suggested retail price automatically updating in real time. They may also fill out a request to have discounted pricing e-mailed to them instantly.

As an alternative, if the customers do not have a truck, they can pick the floorplan of a camper they prefer and the site will suggest a make and model of truck that will be a safe match. The website can be found at http://truckcamperfanatic.com.

A "microsite" is a website that targets a specific segment of a dealership, manufacturer or distributor's customer base, said Kyle Herschberger, with The Outpost RV. "Microsites work by providing the most relevant product lines and informational resources needed for one customer segment. Satisfaction and loyalty rates of microsites are quickly outpacing traditional total inventory-driven websites."

Since being launched to the public five days ago, http://truckcamperfanatic.com has had impressive traffic without the use of pay-per-click advertising, said Herschberger. Some site statistics include:

  • 1,146 Visits
  • 8,321 Pageviews
  • 7.26 Pages/Visit
  • 00:03:06 Avg. Visit Duration
